When asked “What is the first word that comes to your mind when you think of your child’s room?” the most common words are typically “Tornado”, “Hurricane”, “Disaster”, and “Pig sty”. Our goal when working with your child’s room is to create space by giving things a place. Then when you ask them to clean their room their things are not simply pushed under the bed (like we used to do). By creating an environment conducive to being organized children like adults will be more likely to “stick with the system”. After one consultation with a Carolina Closets professional designer words like “Peaceful”, “Serene”, and “Kept” will be more likely to come to mind when asked the above question. O.K. probably not if they are a teenager, but at least “tolerable”.
